Tina de Lemps

Founder and CEO

Tina de Lemps is a leading expert and innovator in the field of personal training and fitness. By combining her more than 30 years of experience, love of movement and passion for healthy living.  Tina’s customized work-out programs elevate her clients’ results to a superior level by enabling them to incorporate various disciplines of exercise and coaching them to make positive lifestyle choices.  She lives by example, as a marathon runner and avid yoga participant.

Mrs. de Lemps currently serves as the Director of Fitness, Health and Wellness at various prestigious country clubs in the metropolitan New York area including the Muttontown Club of East Norwich, NY since 2005 and Delaire Country Club in Delray Beach, Florida. B.FIT™ also specializes in providing on-site trainers to private gyms and exclusive residences in NYC, Long Island and Florida.

Tina’s career began in 1980 when she launched the flagship BODY DESIGN BY GILDA, the first true aerobics studio in NYC. She also collaborated with Jake Steinfeld in the late 80′s to create the popular BODY BY JAKE & TINA workout series.  Mrs. de Lemps holds an Associate’s Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, NY, Minor in Dance Education. Tina is a Certified Health Coach, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, studies in Anatomy and Applied Kinesiology, The Laban/Bartenieff and Institute of Movement Studies and is presently continuing her studies in Pilates, Zumba, and Anatomy through Yoga.

Once again anticipating a need in the field of wellness, Tina has developed Femcho*, a unique fitness and self-worth program for pre-teen and teenage girls. The program, know for it’s unique combination of dance-fitness and “girl-talk” has evolved to include anti-bullying and career modules, as well as special programs for Girls at Risk and Special Needs.  femcho has been endorsed by the Brooklyn DA’s office as well as received grants from the Long Island Epilepsy Foundation.

Mrs. de Lemps has involved her clients in raising thousands of dollars for the Leukemia Foundation, The Lower East Side Girls’ Club and the Thomas Harttman Parkinson’s Foundation. She has been featured in publications such as Vogue, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and New York Magazine.  She has appeared on national broadcast television and has spoken publicly at corporate wellness events.

Diane Kramer

Diane Kramer, M.A., L.M.F.T.

Diane is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Southern California. She has been attentive to the inter-relationship of our minds and bodies since receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy from University of California, Los Angeles. Ms. Kramer has received her Master of Arts in Psychology from Antioch University and has trained in multiple disciplines over the years. She has worked extensively both in-patient and in private practice treating eating disorders.

Currently in her private practice she focuses on women’s issues, working with all age groups, from the early development of self-esteem and body image to women’s changing roles as their lives evolve. She is passionate about assisting her clients in their quest to achieve balance, joy and the vitality that allows them to follow and create their dreams.

She is so excited to be a part of Femcho which supports and celebrates girls and women of all ages and their unique qualities.

Maggie Torres

Educational Liaison (Location: Queens/ Long Island)

Maggie has been an intregal part of femcho from it’s earliest days. A New York City high school teacher, Maggie has embraced a healthy lifestyle and loves to spread the word! Her early days as a student at Fiorello H. Laguardia High School for performing arts, Maggie was trained in the art of Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Tap.  While in high school Maggie earned a dance scholarship to Alvin Ailey, Ballet Hispanico and Dance Theatre of Harlem.  An Ohio State University cheerleader, Maggie remained active and fit throughout college while majoring in education.  Today Maggie is living her dream, working to empower, encourage and motivate today’s youth.

Tanaja Mone’t Sanford

Facilitator

Tanaja Mone’t Sanford, also known as “Moe” started dancing at the age of 3. Training for years in Ballet, African and Hip-hop , soon after she branched out on her own self discovery of the performing arts; specifically theater which she would later Major in at LaGuardia Community college. Dancing isn’t something she likes to do but rather what her purpose Is in life and Teaching the art of self expression using the body speaks volumes. The opportunity to discuss important issues in the world and overall discovering how to love yourself wholeheartedly to a point where we can spread that love to others while being free on the dance floor is her main goal in life. 

Gillian Hanna

Long Island and Greater New York Area

Gillian has been dancing since the age of 6. A renowned  group fitness and Zumba instructor, she is know for her innovative and infectious dance moves. Gillian has a way of inspiring the girls to be the best version of themselves, and to enjoy movement with abandon. She is also a published writer.

Ann Davis

Facilitator

Ann Davis was raised in Sparks, Nevada and her interest in dance began with street styles of hip-hop. Throughout her adolescence and young adulthood Davis continued her dance training in various studios in Nevada and received a scholarship to Nevada Performing Arts when she was in the fifth grade. She studied ballet, jazz, hip-hop and tap intensely. Davis started publicly performing at 11 years old with Ballet Nevada and by the time she was 17; started teaching along with opening at concerts. She went on to be a performer at the University of Nevada, Reno studying modern and tap. Her interest in dance fitness was intensified when she started teaching at small gyms in Nevada. She has a passion for helping people overcome emotional and physical barriers through the performing arts. Davis has been on several hip-hop dance teams and is a current student at Stony Brook University. She currently teaches hip-hop in Long Island New York.

Tierney Sorensen

Facilitator

Tierney Sorensen is a dance artist born and raised in New Jersey.  She began her training at Jamie’s Dance Odyssey under the direction of Jamie Down. She also received private ballet training from Barbara Sandonato and Gabriella Yudenich among others. Sorensen trained with The Koresh Dance Company in Philadelphia and was a member of the Koresh Youth Ensemble, directed by Melissa Rector. She attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, under the direction of Susan Jaffe and Brenda Daniels, where she received her BFA in Contemporary Dance in May of 2018. 

At UNCSA, Tierney performed works by Trish Casey, Natalie Desch, Sean Sullivan, Dawn Bazemore, Merce Cunningham, Brenda Daniels, Paul Taylor,  Shen Wei, Aszure Barton, Robyn Mineko Williams, and Martha Graham. She attended Shen Wei Dance Arts and Paul Taylor intensives and American Dance Festival’s Summer intensive, where she performed excerpts from Shen Wei’s RE: III, staged by Sara Procopio. Sorensen was also selected to attend the Kyoto International Dance Workshop Festival in Kyoto, Japan where she took classes with artists from all over the world. Tierney recently worked as a Kenan Fellow with Lincoln Center Education where she continued to learn skills to be a teaching artist. Tierney currently dances as an apprentice with Bryce Dance Company based in New York City. Tierney is thrilled to work with FEMCHO!

Jessica Winward

Facilitator

Jessica Carma Winward is a classically trained actress and experienced teaching artist. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Classical Theatre from Southern Utah University. Upon graduating she accepted an international two year touring contract with Missoula Children’s Theatre. She toured to 37 states and 5 countries performing, teaching, and directing just under 100 casts of various musicals. Since her recent move to the Los Angeles area she has become the Intern Office Manager at iO West where she is currently enrolled. She also teaches with Zip Zap Zop Improv. She loves the opportunity femcho* brings to girls and she is very excited about continuing to bring femcho* to the West Coast.
